What is Radiesse?
Radiesse® (calcium hydroxyapatite) is a biostimulatory filler. It provides an immediate structural lift and also stimulates your own collagen and elastin, improving firmness and skin quality over time. We use Radiesse for sculpting the lower face and jawline, rejuvenating the hands, strategic body contour, and hyper-dilute treatments that smooth crepey skin on the neck, chest, arms, knees, and more.

(injectable calcium hydroxlapatite) as mentioned above Radiesse is not only a filler but also a collagen stimulator. The Radiesse microspheres stimulate the collagen in the skin. This will result in improvement immediately after the treatment but you can expect more improvement over time that can last up to two years.

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Remove all jewelry from the treatment area.

If possible, remove all makeup in the treatment area.

Avoid excessive sun exposure (or tanning beds) 1 week prior to treatment.

Avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS) such as ibuprofen, Advil, aspirin, Aleve (unless taking these medications for a medical condition).
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Immediately after treatment, there may be redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, and/or itching near the injection site.

Avoid itching, massaging, or picking around injection site. Most symptoms disappear within a few hours to a few days. If symptoms last more than 3 days, get in touch with our office.

Use an approved post-treatment product to reduce swelling and minimize bruising.

You may take acetaminophen (Tylenol) to reduce any pain as necessary within 6 to 10 hours of treatment.

Avoid drinking alcohol or partaking in strenuous exercise, as it may result in additional bruising.

Until swelling and redness have resolved, avoid intense heat in the treated areas, including sunbathing, tanning, saunas, hot tubs, or hot wax. Avoid skiing or other winter sports.

Minimize movement of treated area(s). However, you can massage the site if there is a visible bump. Depending on the areas treated and the product used, you may feel "firmness." These areas will soften and settle with time (usually 1-2 weeks).
